PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

 

Please take a moment to read the Personal Data Protection Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) and to become informed about the way in which the Data Controller, namely the PLS Translation Office represented by Vasileios Paraskevas, address Smyrnis 46, 14231 Nea Ionia, Greece, email address admin@pls.gr, telephone number (+30)2102770803, (hereinafter referred to as “PLS” or “we”), collects, stores, uses and generally processes your personal data when you visit or use the website www.pls.gr.

1. What is personal data?

The term “personal data” refers to information/data of natural persons, such as name, postal address, email address, contact telephone number, etc., which identify or can identify the identity of the natural person, hereinafter “Personal Data” or “Data”.

2. What is the Processing of Personal Data?

Any act or series of acts performed with or without the use of automated means, on personal data or on sets of personal data, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, information search, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or any other form of disposal, association or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

3. What Data do we collect from you?

Our website www.pls.gr has mainly informative content and purpose and limits the collection of Personal Data to a minimum. We collect only the absolutely necessary Data of yours, which are appropriate and necessary for the intended purpose and specifically:

* what you fill in the "Contact" form (name, telephone number, e-mail address) or the "Newsletter" opt-in form (e-mail address) found on our website.

* the Data collected by Cookies

4. For what purpose do we process your Data and on what legal basis?

We process your Data for the purposes of:

* Communication: When you submit a question or request to us through the "communication" form, we process your Data to manage, answer and resolve your questions/requests. We consider that we have a legitimate interest in responding to requests or questions raised by you through the “Contact” form. We further understand that the processing of your specific data for this purpose is also beneficial for you, as it allows us to adequately assist you and answer the questions you raise. When your question is related to the exercise of your rights, which we inform you about below, we are entitled to process your Data, as we are thus responding to our legal obligation.

* Sending newsletter: When you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your Data to manage your subscription and send you our newsletter to your email address. We are authorized to process your data for the purpose of informing you about our PLS news and offers by virtue of the consent you provide to us, e.g. when you state that you wish to receive informational/promotional material (newsletter) from us.

5. Who are the recipients of your Data?

Access to your Data is only available to the absolutely necessary PLS personnel, who are bound by confidentiality.

We do not send your Data to third parties.

6. How do we ensure that Processors respect your Data?

The Processors we use agree and undertake to:

* maintain confidentiality,

* not send Data to third parties without the permission of PLS,

* take appropriate security measures,

* comply with the legal framework for the protection of Personal Data and in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 – otherwise known as “GDPR”).

7. Do we send your Data outside the EU?

We do not send your Data to countries outside the EU. The processing of your Data is limited to within the EU only.

8. When do we delete your Data?

The Data provided by you will be kept/stored by PLS only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which you have communicated your Data to us and in compliance with the applicable legal provisions.

Specifically:

* We retain the Data you fill in the “Contact” form for as long as necessary to satisfy your request or answer your question, unless a new purpose arises during the communication for which further processing is necessary.

* Your declaration of consent to send a newsletter is kept for as long as the newsletter is sent to you by PLS and in any case no more than six months after its cessation.

* We delete the Data collected by Cookies in accordance with the Cookies Policy.

9. Is your Data secure?

Recognizing the importance of the security of your Personal Data, we have taken all appropriate organizational and technical measures to secure and protect your Data from any form of accidental or unlawful processing. We use the most modern and advanced methods to ensure the highest possible security. These measures are reviewed and amended when necessary.

10. What are your rights?

You have the rights to:

* access your personal data.

* correction of inaccurate personal data.

* erasure/right to be forgotten.

* portability of your Data.

* restriction of processing.

* objection/withdrawal of consent to the processing of your Data.

11. How can you exercise your rights?

To exercise your rights, you can send us your request to the postal address of PLS ​​(Attn. Vasileios Paraskevas, address Smyrnis 46, 14231 Nea Ionia, Greece), or to our electronic address (admin@pls.gr), and we will take care to examine it and respond to you as soon as possible.

We respond to your Requests free of charge, without delay, and in any case within (1) one month from the date we receive your request. However, if your Request is complex or there is a large number of Requests, we will inform you within the month if we need to obtain an extension of another (2) two months within which we will respond to you.

If your Requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular due to their repetitive nature, PLS may impose the payment of a reasonable fee, taking into account the administrative costs of providing the information or performing the requested action, or refuse to act on the Request, stating the reasons in the response to you.

In the event that you do not receive a response within the above-mentioned deadline or your issue has not been resolved, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Authority (http://www.dpa.gr).

12. Do we use automated decision-making/including profiling when processing your Data?

PLS does not make decisions based on automated processing of your Data, except in the case of using “cookies” on our website, always after informing you and consenting to profiling, which, however, has no legal consequence or obligation for you.

13. What is the applicable law when processing your Data by us?

Applicable Law is Greek Law, as formulated in accordance with the General Regulation for the Protection of Personal Data 2016/679/EU, and in general the applicable national and European legislative and regulatory framework for the protection of personal data. Competent courts for any disputes arising related to your Data are the courts of the place of PLS’s headquarters.

14. How will you be informed of any amendments to this Policy?

We update this Policy whenever necessary. If there are significant changes to the Policy or the way we use your Data, we will post an updated version of this Policy on our website before the changes take effect and will notify you by any appropriate means.
